Description: Foundation Aksum, formerly known as Metapa, takes on a biblical angle, with a focus on one of history’s long-lost relics, the Ark of the Covenant. Foundation decided to give the Metapa a makeover and rebrand. The blend is the exact same, but the name and cigar bands are different. Handmade at AJ Fernandez’s Tabacalera Fernandez factory in Nicaragua, the Foundation Aksum Claro blend consists of an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, Connecticut Broadleaf binder, and Nicaraguan fillers (Esteli & Jalapa). The result is a medium-bodied smoke with wonderful and rich flavors.
